I am getting the attached playback error anytime I try to stream a show that is an mkv file on Internet Explorer. It plays fine on my mobile app and tv... Seems to play fine in Chrome also.. (Playback Error: Streaming this media is unsupported.)

How can I fix this issue? It just recently started happening...
I find it interesting that Plex/Web is -- on the surface -- a browser web application, yet it seems to have all the power of a regular desktop application... and then some. I'm super curious how this was accomplished and what it was built with. Does anyone know?
When I go into Channels, I've found some radio stations in Shoutcast; is there any way to pin/bookmark these stations to somewhere easy to get to them, instead of navigating deep down into the tree to find them again?
Updated my computer to OSX 10.13 High Sierra.
None of my media will play in Plex anymore. I can play everything fine w/ VLC so I know the media is fine.
I get the error "An error occurred trying to play "Any.Video ".shaka3014 (Media)"

This is on Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit).
If I drag my mouse over the screen the framerate drops really badly. It immediately goes away when I move mouse away and the web controls go away.
This may be related to leaving (X'ing back to home screen) a video and then resuming the video.

I'm unsure if this is the right place to post this or not - however, since the update where Plex Web got upgraded to 3.20.x, my Plex Web is lagging when put on fullscreen on my Asus zenbook and at times; even unable to follow audio v video..
I've tried the issue with different browsers aswell;
Chrome, Edge and Internet Explorer 11.
When I downgrade my PMS to older versions, issue is gone - so it seems that the new web player is requiring more fire power.. is that the way the development is going?

I have been running Plex Media Server on a dedicated Debian 9.x server (in a DC) for several months now, not really necessary information to my discussion.
I mostly stream via Chrome directly through the IP address, https://server_ip:32400/
Through the iterations of the several server versions that I have been upgrading through the months I have been keeping up with the changes and saw that the Plex Web Player got upgraded to version 3.20.x around server version 1.8.3. (If I install server version 1.8.1 I still get Plex Web Player 3.14.1).
Irrespective of where I stream from, so if I am on the road over 4G, or at home on Fiber or at a friend's place on ADSL I still get a much better streaming experience on Plex Web Player prior to version 3.20.x (and higher). For instance my stream starts quicker, seeking is quicker and there is NO buffering whatsoever.
As soon as I use https://plex.tv/web (latest desktop version) or upgrade my server to 1.8.3 or higher which includes Plex Web Version 3.20.x, my experience is terrible again (testing on the same connection here and testing a simple stream like Rick and Morty S01E01 on Original Quality 2.8Mbps 720p, so no transcoding).
So, I have yet to debug what the issues actually are, but it seems that the Controls were updated towards version 3.20. If I use 3.14.1 I still get the old controls (no seek forwards 30 seconds, or seek backwards 10 seconds).
New controls:
With the controls having been updated in version 3.20.x and higher, is it functionality around the controls that potentially deliver a worse experience than the previous player?

Hi, i'm trying to fix a "huge-font" problem in the Plex Web App.
I use Google Chrome (Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)) to watch Plex.
And just started remuxing my mkv files to mp4 files for my ATV4.
I use subler and put the H264, AC3 and srt files in the same mp4 file. This works fine on Plex on the Apple TV.
But on the Web App i have this huge font half the size of my video.
It doesn't do this with the same mkv file. Am i doing something wrong in Subler? i just drag and drop my srt file and remux. I don't see any settings for the srt sizes anywhere. And if i put my subtitle size on "tiny" in the Web App i get this skinny looking font which is still quite large. I've searched the forum but haven't found anybody with the same problem if so i'm sorry for double posting.

Two (or so) updates ago the browsing mode filters changed. I used to be able to sort by Episode/Date Added. This was great for keeping up with my shows etc. Now the closest option is by Show/Last Episode Date Added. Can we go back to the original sort method? If I choose Episodes now it just comes up with a list of episodes by show name which is not very helpful. It appears that the Android/iOS apps kept the original sort method.

I am having audio issues with some movie files when playing them in the web app. There is a noticeable audio pop every few seconds whenever I play certain files that use AC3 audio. I've tested the files on my desktop and they are fine when playing through MPC-HC.
After playing around with some settings, I noticed that changing the "Background transcoding x264 preset" affects the frequency of the pops; slower transcoding settings results in more pops. I am listening through my headphones.
I've also attached a file with some general information on one of the files that is having issues. It's not the only one, but the settings are typical of problematic files.

Every time I go to the plex web app remotely it shows in playback settings that the quality is either "Convert(0.7mbps, 328p)", "Convert(0.3mbps, 240p)", or "Convert(0.2mbps, 160p)". and this happens no matter what I put my settings for the server or user settings. I am at the most updated version of plex web and plex media server.

My Plex (Webplayer directly from server) suddenly removes subtitles. It have happend for 2 movies and 1 tv show now, and I can't figure out why.
I have tried rebooting the Plex server program, and allso the PC/Server.
When I start the movie/show, there is subtitles on, but they suddenly getting removes / not showing more, after 1-3min.
- its working if I use a Chromecast.
Anyone got an idea whats wrong?

My plex server just did an update and now none of my devices on my network can play mkv files, neither can my computer browsers. I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting, I googled it and some people talked about transcoding settings, but they are all fine. what else do I do?
So, I'm not quite sure where to put this, but since I THINK the ChromeOS app is basically a variant of the web app this should work. If not, please direct me accordingly.
Anyway, I've noticed when I'm going through redoing my video library in H264 with AAC audio that the ChromeOS app is unable to resume any video encoded as such- It just restarts it from the beginning. I know this isn't H264's fault (As I have other video in H264 with other audio), which leaves AAC.
The logs don't say anything of note as far as I can tell (I see a bunch of token passing, and the only thing of note in the timeframe is it asking for, and receiving, a segment).
I know this isn't the video itself, because other players (Web app, local player on the server, and Android App) can resume without issue, so I can only assume there's an issue with the ChromeOS player.
I recently picked up an iPad Pro 12.9" and I've notice that if you don't put your finger in just the correct place the movie and tv lists won't scroll, the whole page just bounces. If you wait a bit it will then accept your input and let you scroll a bit but then locks up again.
I'm not sure if it's exact finger placement that is the issue or if something is still happening behind the scene and it's not accepting scrolling input. It's certainly wonky and a bit unpredictable.
Scrolling works fine and rather flawless on my 9.7" and my iPhone so not sure what it is about the 12.9" that causes the issue.
whenever i try to play any thing, any kind of file. it just sits and loads and loads..and nothing ever happens.
Is there a way to sort a playlist by runtime? The particular playlist I have in mind is one that I manually add individual movies to.
