Using the keyboard shortcuts for seeking while playing media

The seeking seems a bit slow. The video image is gone for 2-3 seconds while showing the Movie poster, it shows the wheel spinning for loading, then playback resumes.
Would love to get it nearly as instantaneous as seeking in Netflix. There I can move back and forth quickly and the playback comes immediately after.
When seeking forward in Netflix it shows clips of the movie while seeking and when you finish seeking the movie starts within 1 second or less.
